Ahman Green back in Green Bay?

Anything left in the tank, Ahman?

Anything left in the tank, Ahman?

I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.  Most people with minimal intelligence would be able to figure out why these two are available.  Surprised Dorsey Levens didn’t get a call.  JS-Online story below.

  1. I think I like this signing more than most people. For one, Green is a veteran and no one in the backfield including the QB is a real veteran. Grant was briefly around a few veterans during his two months in NY, but otherwise, these guys do not know how to be a professional. Green does! Always said to be perfect for ZBS, Green’s only year in the system was slowed by injury and then lost to Houston in FA the next year. They got Green now for close to nothing in salary and he can help show these rooks how to pick up a blitz and play with injuries (Jackson and Wynn are inactive more than active due to injuries). Maybe Green can help a little with play, but he has lost a step and is really getting old for an RB in the league. I think it must make more sense as a leader or coach on the roster type thing.
